Karma Yoga

Karma yoga is the yoga of action; a dissolving of the ego through thoughtful, purposeful work done purely for the sake of offering. When we practice karma yoga – by volunteering our time, resources and skills – we soften our own hearts. We embody the Divine itself and that energy spreads to all.

Giving back to my community has been such an important aspect of my own practice, and it is my honor to share that love with you. Every few months, I will share a Karma Yoga opportunity that will involve seva (in person, selfless service) or a fundraiser.

Electronic donations can be made via PayPal by clicking HERE. Alternatively, you may mail a check made out to Elizabeth Murray to: 785 West End Avenue, Apt. 12E, New York, NY 10025. All donations will be collected and then sent to the ashram as a collective gift from our global community!

Our first Karma Yoga project is a fundraiser for a cause very close to my heart. The teachings of Neem Karoli Baba (Maharajji) and Ram Dass have transformed the way I see the world, and the only U.S. ashram devoted to these two dear souls is undergoing a beautiful transformation itself.

templeOriginally established over 40 years ago, the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram in New Mexico is expanding to accommodate its growing community and needs our help. Once complete, this new temple will be large enough for everyone to join in celebration of Maharajji, honor holiday gatherings, and become a safe space rooted in compassion. This cause feels especially potent to me right now since Ram Dass’ passing a little over 2 months ago.

My fundraising goal is $500! Please donate as much as your heart feels called and check this page regularly for progress updates!
